2008 Featherweight Decoys (any Teal or Shoveler)

Open to all carvers. Stable floating, lightweight decoy designed for the refuge or pothole shooter needing a small right that can be carried a considerable distance over field or marsh. Need not self right, keels or weights are optional, attachment for anchor line is required. Materials used must conform to those set forth under Traditional Hunting Decoys. No restriction on painting. Texturing and fragile parts will not add merit. The judges are looking for innovative, practical designs featuring lightness, portability, and effectiveness. Enter a single Mallard decoy, drake or hen. Additional entries by the same carver are accepted providing each exhibits a different approach to the challenge of a featherweight decoy.
